A three-quarter sized, traditional styled, biological microscope offering a range of features at an attractive price to suit many users.

Illumination is provided via a 42mm dia. mirror transmitting the light though a stage with disc diaphragm into one of the three objective lenses mounted on a rotating turret then on to the wide field eyepiece.

This student microscope is a sturdy, well balanced instrument. Die cast aluminium construction with rubber footed stand suitable for all work up to and including Leaving Certificate. The viewing tube is inclined to 45 degrees and rotatable for comfort and ease of use, coarse and fine stage focusing, stage clips, all glass optics and built in 20 watt mains illuminator. Optics 10x Widefield eyepiece, objectives 4x,10x and 40x spring mounted.

The viewing of biological microscope slides is distinct and enlarged. Sharp, clear and evenly illuminated image in full colours, visible to the whole class free of distortion.

Supplied in polished wooden box having lock and key.

A dissecting microscope used by biology students for fine dissection work or close study of small organisms.

The high eye point lenses are mounted on a jointed arm, which can scan the whole stage area.

The wide glass stage has two spring clips and a reversible sub-stage mirror/opal face illuminator giving good lighting to objects from natural to artificial lighting.

The rack and pinion mechanism is enclosed within the stage support pillar and operated by a knob on either side of the Pinion spindle.

Detachable rests on either side of the stage provide steadying support for hands during fine dissection work.

A heavy cast iron base fitted with levelling screws top machined over which slides a metal carriage which can be clam ed at desired position.

The stage carries a vernier that travels over a stainless steel scale graduated in mm 0 to 16.5cms. A Gunmetal pillar fixed to the stage has an embedded S.S. Scale graduated 0 to l5cms and carries a vertical travelling carriage with vernier. Horizontal stage for placing objects is fitted with milky plate.

The microscopic tube on vertical travelling carriage is focussed by rack and pinion and has an achromatic objective, a ramsden eye piece lOx and a cross line graticule.

Vernier read- in .01 mm supplied in wooden case.

Easy to use monocular microscope for use in schools for the study of plants, insects and geology samples and for use by field technicians involved in the study or irradication of pests. Its small size, good optical quality and the ability to view without need of additional illumination are a benefit to all users.
